    Building Teacher Leadership

    Presented by Education Elements and NYSASCD

    This series presents teacher leaders the opportunity to explore topics and strategies so they can build their skills and enhance facilitation of sessions that lead to sustainable and impactful professional learning.

    Session 1 - May 13 (Tues)

    Session 2 - May 20 (Tues)

    All sessions start at: 4:00pm EST

    Topic 1 (May13): Building Leadership Capacity: Essential Skills for Teacher Leaders

    Focus: Develop leadership competencies such as effective communication, conflict resolution, decision-making, and influencing others in adult learning settings.

    Outcome: Participants will gain practical tools to enhance their leadership presence and ability to inspire and support peers.

    Topic 2 (May 20): Creating and Sustaining High-Impact Professional Learning Groups

    Focus: Provide strategies for designing and sustaining PLGs that align with district goals, meet NYSED accountability requirements, and ensure value for participants.

    Outcome: Teacher leaders will learn how to create focused, outcome-driven groups that positively impact classroom instruction and student learning.

    Cost:

    $199/person; $175/person for teams of 3 or more.
